Travellers advised not to travel to Bahrain

The Foreign and Commonwealth advise against all travel to Bahrain until further notice.

"In light of recent events, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has changed its travel advice to advise against all travel to the Bahrain and ask that British nationals in Bahrain remain at home until further notice. 

"We have done this in response to an intensification of protests and continuing unrest. We call on the authorities to avoid the use of excessive force and on all parties to exercise restraint" said a F&CO Spokesperson."The British Embassy in Bahrain is closed until further notice"

Please be advised that under all travel insurance policies, cover will not be provided when you travel to areas specifically identified as being at high risk by the UK Goverment.
